Senior Structural Draughtsperson / Engineering Technician

An opportunity has arising for a Senior Structural Draughtsperson / Engineering Technician to join the team based in our central Christchurch office.

Day to day you’ll lead the preparation and coordination of structural drawings using Revit, working closely with engineers and project leads to ensure design intent is clearly and accurately translated into buildable documentation. You’ll manage your own workload and contribute to the delivery of a range of projects. Clear, professional communication with engineers, clients and contractors is a key part of the role, as is applying sound judgement and identifying and managing engineering risk.

About You

Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience as a structural draughtsperson or engineering technician, along with a relevant tertiary qualification (DipEng, NZCE or equivalent). You’ll be highly competent in Revit and have a proven track record producing high-quality structural documentation.

You’ll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your work, and managing priorities across multiple tasks. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues are essential.
