This beautiful stone church in Wharanui has been a significant landmark on the Kaikōura Coast since its construction in 1927. It was damaged during the 2016 Kaikōura earthquake and had to be closed off to the public

The church required significant structural intervention to ensure public safety and long-term use. Working closely with the project team, we endeavoured to maintain the character of the church while ensuring the design of repair and seismic strengthening delivered the performance required to reopen safely
